Fintech company Phone Pay has introduced the first famous voice feature on smart speakers. The new feature has been introduced in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Actors like Mammootty, Kicha Sudheep, Mahesh Babu and Amitabh Bachchan have been used to inform customers about the transaction.
Through this, the voices of prominent celebrities of each state will be available on smart speakers to authenticate customer payments. It will also be available in regional languages like Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s voice in Hindi and English has already been featured in PhonePay’s Smart Voice. A year ago, they launched Smart Speakers for merchants to make money transactions.

The current new feature uses the voices of celebrities from different regions and it is expected that transactions will be a new experience for customers and merchants. Yuvraj Singh Shekhawat, Chief Business Officer, PhonePay said, “With over 3.8 crore merchants spread across India using our vast network, each one needs their own language when it comes to making payments”.
This service is available to the customers in collaboration with famous celebrities. He added that this system is expected to increase the use of Phone Pay smart speakers among merchants and consumers.

1. Open the ‘PhonePe for Business’ app
Go to the Smart Speaker section on the home screen
Click on ‘SmartSpeaker Voice’ available under the ‘My SmartSpeaker’ option
You can choose a famous voice in your chosen language
Click on ‘Confirm’ to activate the sound
The smart speaker will then restart with the voice of the celebrity of your choice.
