Public School teachers and Staff to Receive PHP20,000 Holiday Bonus
MANILA – Just in time for the holidays, over a million public school teachers and staff across the country will receive a PHP20,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI). The Department of Education (DepEd) announced the release of the bonus, starting December 20th, marking a historic high for the agency.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.for approving the maximum SRI allowed for DepEd personnel.
“This is a historic moment for DepEd, as we are able to grant the highest SRI ever for our workforce,” Angara said in a statement. “We are deeply grateful to President Marcos Jr. for his steadfast support in prioritizing the welfare of teachers and staff who serve as the backbone of the education sector.”
angara also thanked Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman for her swift action in implementing the President’s directive outlined in Administrative order No. 27.
The SRI will be disbursed to regional offices on December 20th and subsequently to individual teachers and staff. This timely bonus will benefit over 1,011,800 DepEd personnel nationwide.
