Pictures of the Bar Association elections… Voting closes at 5 p.m

The committee supervising the Bar Association elections announced that voting stations in the General Association elections will be closed at five o’clock in the evening, and there will be no evening period.

The headquarters of the General Syndicate of Lawyers and the sub-unions and sub-unions at the republic level witnessed an influx of members of the General Association of Lawyers to cast their votes in the General Syndicate elections to choose the General Syndicate and members of the General Syndicate Council.

The electoral committees of all sub-unions are witnessing regularity in the voting process since the first moments of their opening this morning, under judicial supervision from the Administrative Prosecution Authority.

15 candidates are competing for the position of General Captain, and 253 candidates are for membership seats, including; 30 candidates for the Legal Departments seat, 115 candidates for the Cairo Appeal seat, 19 candidates for the Tanta Appeal seat, 21 candidates for the Mansoura Appeal seat, 16 candidates for the Alexandria Appeal seat, 10 for the Ismailia Appeal seat, 18 for the Beni Suef Appeal seat, and 17 for Assiut Appeals Bench, and 7 on the Qena Appeals Bench.

The number of ballot box committees nationwide reached 488, affiliated with 37 sub-unions nationwide, and the number of voters whose names were registered in the lists reached 322,152 members.

Voting operations are scheduled to continue until five in the evening, and the counting of votes will not begin until a quorum is confirmed, which is the presence of three thousand lawyers or one-third of the Elections Assembly, whichever is less.
