Sai Pallavi came to Prema by demolishing the heroine concepts that existed till then. A heroine with pimples who did not use makeup had never been seen in films until then.
But Sai Pallavi reveals that she was not confident at first. The actor said that he was someone who had a lot of insecurities and all that changed after acting in Premath. This was said in an interview given to Film Companion.
My voice, my appearance, pimples etc. all reduced my self-confidence before entering the film industry. All this has caught me interacting with people. But when I saw Premam with the audience, my opinion changed.
I was shocked to see people clapping after watching the film. Then I realized that people don’t like beauty. I was convinced that what I understood was wrong. They care about the character and our acting’ – says Sai Pallavi.
