More recently, New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs sparked speculation ⁢after⁢ a video surfaced of him on a yacht with baggies of‌ pink powder, referring to himself as “Mr. make It Happen on a Boat.” Cardi B was also present ⁢on the yacht. Despite its rising profile, the exact composition of pink cocaine remains largely ⁤unknown. ‌it’s frequently enough compared to Anna delvey, the socialite scammer, due to its elusive ⁣and difficult-to-verify ⁤nature.

Also known as “tusi,” “tuci,” ⁤or “tusibi,” pink cocaine’s ⁤defining characteristic is its color, but its ingredients are inconsistent. It typically contains ketamine and‍ rarely includes actual cocaine. The varying formulas‌ mean unpredictable and potentially hazardous effects, according to the Drug Enforcement Management.

Joseph Palamar, an associate professor of ‍population⁤ health at NYU Langone, describes‍ it as a “drug concoction.” He told Vanity‌ Fair that while cocaine can be present, the mixture primarily consists of ketamine and other substances.Palamar’s research indicates a rise in ⁢pink cocaine’s popularity sence late ⁢2019, attributed to its ease of ⁣production, adaptable formulas, and ‌catchy name.

Beyond ‍ketamine, pink cocaine may contain MDMA, caffeine, ⁣fentanyl, methamphetamine, or other substances. Palamar notes that the name “Tusi” is used ⁣generically, similar ‌to how “cocaine” is used, nonetheless of the actual contents. While believed to have‌ originated in Latin America, pink cocaine can be produced anywhere, requiring ⁢onyl‌ access to ketamine and dye.

Palamar suggests the similar-sounding name was a marketing tactic to entice users to try the new drug.

Though, pink cocaine’s effects differ considerably from ‌both 2C-B and cocaine.Primarily an anesthetic with dissociative properties due to ‌its ketamine base, its effects vary based on the ⁢specific mixture, dosage, and⁣ individual⁤ factors. Palamar warns that larger doses can‍ cause users to “leave the planet,” and combining⁣ it with alcohol can lead to severe illness. he expressed concern for individuals unknowingly consuming pink cocaine, expecting⁣ the effects of traditional cocaine.
