A search is underway in a remote area of Placer County after authorities received reports of a possible drowning Wednesday. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to heath Falls in Soda Springs around 3 p.m. after receiving a report that three people went into the water and did not resurface.
The sheriff’s office has dispatched multiple resources to the scene.These include the sheriff’s office dive team,search and rescue units,a Cal Fire technical rescue team,and a california Highway Patrol helicopter.
According to the sheriff’s office, the remote location and difficult terrain are making rescue efforts especially challenging.
