Emergency Landing After Engine Issue
A Boeing 757 aircraft, carrying 273 passengers and 8 crew members, experienced an issue with airflow in one of its engines while en route from Corfu, Greece, to Düsseldorf, Germany. The incident occurred at an altitude of approximately 36,000 feet.

The aircraft made an emergency landing at Brindisi Airport in southern Italy at approximately 8:15 PM local time,roughly 40 minutes after departing.
The airline stated the issue was caused by a chemical reaction within the engine’s combustion chamber. They emphasized that passengers were never in genuine danger and the landing was a precautionary measure.
Unverified videos circulating on social media appear to show intermittent flames coming from the right engine. One TikTok video captured sounds resembling minor explosions as the plane flew over a populated area.
