In the co-main event, Jermall Charlo, an undefeated former champion, returns to the ring after an 18-month hiatus to battle Thomas LaManna.
The card will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, with the main event scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

Plant’s Path Back to the Top
Despite posing with a belt recently, Plant is not currently a world champion. he lost his title to Canelo Alvarez in November 2021 via an 11th-round TKO, the only stoppage loss of his career.
At 32, Plant remains a top contender in the super middleweight division, though he is not ranked in the top 10 by any of the major governing bodies. A rematch with Canelo, who holds the undisputed title at 168 pounds, would likely favor Alvarez.
Resendiz, 26, presents a significant challenge for Plant. With a record of 15-2 and 11 KOs, Resendiz has been stopped once, by Elijah Garcia in september 2023. While Resendiz possesses power, Plant is heavily favored.
Charlo’s Comeback
Charlo, 35, last fought in November 2023, securing a unanimous decision against Jose Benavidez Jr. Personal issues led to inactivity and the stripping of his WBC middleweight title.
Undefeated at 33-0 with 22 KOs, charlo faces LaManna, 33, who holds a 39-5-1 record. LaManna has been stopped three times and is seen as an opponent for Charlo to showcase his skills.
Thomas LaManna has very little chance to beat Jermall Charlo, provided the former champion’s skills haven’t eroded.
Plant vs. Charlo?
Tensions flared between Plant and Charlo in July 2023, when Plant slapped Charlo backstage at the Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford weigh-in. If both fighters win saturday, a future bout between them is anticipated.
A Plant-Charlo fight would allow both to capitalize on their rivalry. The winner, especially Charlo, could potentially challenge the winner of a hypothetical Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight.
