PLO: Documenting Israel’s use of 13 types of internationally banned weapons in Gaza

Qasim Awad, Director General of the Human Rights Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization, confirmed that Israel has documented the use of 13 types of internationally banned weapons in its war on Gaza, and the process of shipping them to the Israeli occupation has been documented by the United States of America, Germany, Britain, Australia, Italy and some other countries. .

Awad said in an intervention to the Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel, today, Sunday, that among the most prominent things that have been monitored and documented through internationally banned weapons are the Jeddam smart bombs, which are on the list of internationally banned bombs, in addition to vacuum bombs and deadly Dayem weapons that leave irreparable effects on those injured by them, and missiles and bombs. “Halper and stupid bombs weighing about 2 tons of explosives that drop and cause massive destruction.”

He explained that the occupation continues to use white phosphorus, regulated uranium, cluster bombs, and GBU weapons, and all of these weapons are classified according to the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention and the most urgent weapons as internationally prohibited.

He confirmed the monitoring of more shipments, classified as not internationally prohibited, but they reached Israel and were used against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem, including 100 military aircraft from the United States of America loaded with various types of equipment, bombs and cluster munitions.

Awad stressed that the use of these weapons is one of the pillars of genocide and one of its most important indications, and this is what was submitted to the International Court of Justice, which must consider all these types of weapons as measures indicating the occurrence of genocide against the Palestinian people.

Regarding the legal prosecution of the occupation in this aspect, he confirmed communication with all international legal institutions through the Palestinian Bar Association, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all relevant institutions. The Palestine Mission presented these files in the corridors of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, and it is expected that arrest warrants will be issued to those who gave orders to use These bombs.
