New Delhi, india - Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al nahyan met on Thursday too discuss the implementation of the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC), a landmark project aimed at boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.

during the meeting, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the transformative potential of IMEEC, calling it a ”historic initiative” that will enhance economic connectivity and regional integration. He also conveyed his best wishes to UAE president Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The talks underscored the strong bilateral relationship between India and the UAE, highlighted by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to India in September 2024. Prime Minister Modi described this visit as a testament to the “generational continuity” in bilateral ties.

Sheikh abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also briefed Prime Minister Modi on the situation in West Asia. In response, prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s commitment to peace, stability, and security in the region.
