Pochettino “100% left at PSG, Mbappedo”

[인터풋볼] Reporter Park Ji-won = Manager Mauricio Pochettino made a statement.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will play the 35th round of French Ligue 1 in the 2021-22 season against Strasbourg at the May Now Stadium located in Strasbourg, France at 4 am (Korean time) on the 30th.

PSG had already confirmed the championship through the previous round. With four matches remaining, they are 13 points behind second-placed Olympique de Marseille (65 points). PSG, who stayed runners-up last season by one point behind Lille OSC (83 points), regained the championship cup.

The main question posed to Pochettino at the press conference ahead of the Strasbourg match is the recent sacking rumors. France’s ‘Le Parisien’ raised the issue, saying, “PSG has decided to sack Pochettino.”

In addition, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte was mentioned as the next manager of PSG, and the controversy only increased. Of course, the situation calmed down as the British press revealed that “Conte has no contact with PSG.” In any case, various theories were circulating about Pochettino’s whereabouts.

According to French ‘Lequipe’, the question posed to Pochettino was ‘What is the percentage of chance of seeing him next season along with Mbappe?’ “In both cases, it’s 100%,” Pochettino said. As of now, that is what I can perceive and feel.”

It is interesting that not only Pochettino himself but also Mbappe remain 100%. Mbappe’s contract with PSG expires at the end of the season. There is still no news of a contract renewal, and a move to Real Madrid is likely.

However, recently, according to the British ‘Telegraph’, PSG was reported to have contacted his mother to renew his contract with Mbappe. The media said, “PSG Chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi met Mbappe’s mother, and the meeting went smoothly. “PSG proposed a two-year contract with a contract termination clause,” he explained.

If things go as Pochettino said, they will both remain in the next season. It has been revealed that Pochettino has a contract with PSG until 2023, and will be paid 15 million euros (about 20 billion won) if he is sacked.
