Join Raids Without an Invite
Players no longer need an invite to join a raid their friend is participating in. You can share your raid attendance directly from your Friends List. Friends can join your raid without waiting for an invite. This feature significantly eases the process of teaming up for raids, especially for players in rural areas who find it hard to gather groups. You can monitor your Friends List for active raids and jump in when you see a friend battling a Raid Boss.
To see which friends are raiding, sort your Friends List by “At a Raid.” The update allows you to invite your entire Friends List without sending formal invites.
Invite Friends When You Are Invited
Additionally, if you are invited to a Remote Raid and join, you can invite your friends to that session. This update enhances raiding accessibility. Ensure you maintain good friendships, as you need to be at least Great Friends for these features to work effectively.
How to Join a Friend’s Raid
- In Map View, go to your Trainer Profile.
- Tap the Friends tab to view your Friends List.
- Friends participating in a Raid will show up with the Raid Boss listed beneath their name. You can sort your Friends List by those currently raiding.
- Select your friend to see raid details, including how many trainers are waiting and the time left before it starts.
- Tap BATTLE to join the raid. The button indicates the type of Raid Pass needed: green for in-person, pink for remote.
You can join raids with a Remote Raid Pass, allowing up to 5 trainers per lobby. Players can participate in up to 5 Remote Raids daily, with potential increases during special events.
If you prefer not to share your raid attendance, you can opt out by adjusting your settings. By default, sharing is enabled, but you can easily disable it.
