Poland has activated its air force to enhance air safety following Russian attacks in the Ukrainian region of Lviv, which borders Poland. The Polish Armed Forces operational Command stated on X (formerly Twitter) that Polish and allied aircraft are actively monitoring airspace,and air defense systems and radar reconnaissance are at their highest level of readiness. These actions are described as “preventive” measures to protect airspace and citizens in areas near the conflict zone.

Affected cities include Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zaporizhzhia, as reported by Ukrinform.The Ukrainian Air Force issued warnings regarding the approach of Russian drones across multiple regions.
In Zaporizhzhia, one person was killed and at least nine others were injured as a result of the attacks, according to Ivan Fedoov, head of the regional military administration, as reported by Ukrinform. Some neighborhoods in Zaporizhzhia experienced power and water outages due to the strikes.
Lviv also experienced a power outage following a Russian attack, as reported by Mayor Andriy Sadovyi on Telegram. Sadovyi also stated that public transportation to Lviv was temporarily suspended due to the intensity of the attacks.
