Pompeii’s ancient amphitheater, a venue steeped in history, will once again resonate with music this summer. From June 27 to Aug. 5, 2025, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii will host a series of 14 concerts featuring a diverse lineup of international and Italian artists.

Gabriel Zuchtriegel, director of the Archaeological Park, emphasized the importance of integrating music into the site’s cultural heritage. “Bringing music to the Pompeii site for us is not an additional action, but an integral part of our project for the protection, research and use of the archaeological heritage that we hope will be a model for many other places of culture… If we truly believe in culture, we must open it to everyone.”
Carmine Lo Sapio, Mayor of Pompeii, noted the ancient connection between music and archeology, referencing Pink floyd’s performance and the theories of Wassily Kandinsky. He stated that the “Bop-Beatsii” review aims to create “a unique and unrepeatable performance” by bringing together international artists in an ancient setting.
Artistic director Peppe Gomez added that “BOP-Beats of Pompeii… is also the reflection of the cultural ferment that Naples and Campania is experiencing… The review represents an opportunity to promote the territory, encouraging permanent tourism and supporting the local economy.”
