Postecoglou Faces fan Fury after Bournemouth Defeat,Admits Spurs “Paid the Price”
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou faced a heated confrontation with frustrated fans following Thursday night’s 1-0 loss to Bournemouth,a result that saw Spurs slip to 10th in the Premier League table.
The aussie boss, who just 12 days ago oversaw a stunning victory against reigning champions Manchester City, was visibly upset after the lackluster performance at the Vitality Stadium.
“the fans were disappointed and rightly so,” Postecoglou admitted. “They gave us some direct feedback which we’ll take on board.”

the defeat highlighted tottenham’s ongoing struggle for consistency this season. Despite important summer spending,Spurs have managed back-to-back league wins only once, leaving their Champions League aspirations hanging by a thread.
“We started well and conceded a really poor goal,” Postecoglou told BBC Sport. “It’s a challenging place to come when giving the opposition the chance to play in the manner they want. It’s disappointing. It’s something we’ve done consistently and we always pay the price for it.”
Winger Dejan Kulusevski echoed his manager’s sentiments, expressing his frustration with the team’s inability to defend set pieces.
“It is not good enough,” Kulusevski said. “We conceded again on a corner and then everything gets much more difficult. Too manny times this year we have conceded easy goals on corners.”
The Swedish international added,”Second half we came out much better and made some chances but we did not score and then lost the game.We are so disappointed to lose again.”
spurs now face a daunting challenge against high-flying Chelsea this weekend, a match that will test their resilience and ability to bounce back from another setback.
