President El-Sisi Meets with Key Officials to Discuss Electricity Stability and Renewable Energy
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli held a meeting with Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Mr. Amr Adel Hosni, Acting Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority.
The meeting focused on the government’s action plan to ensure stability and reliability of the electricity supply, particularly in projects implemented in the field of renewable energy. The aim is to add new capacity to the electrical network, develop and maximize the efficiency of the network, and utilize the latest technology to absorb and transmit energy with minimal loss.
The officials also discussed an integrated system of policies and measures to reduce wastage in electricity consumption. This includes addressing violations and electricity theft, while upholding the Constitution, laws, and public finances, as well as protecting citizens’ rights and achieving stability of electricity supply nationwide.
