LG Chem to Supply Cathode Materials to Toyota-Panasonic Joint Venture

LG Chem has announced that it will supply cathode materials to Prime Planet Energy & Solutions (PPES), a joint venture between Toyota Motor Company Japan and Panasonic Holdings.

PPES is a leading battery manufacturer in Japan, supplying batteries for electric vehicles to many global OEMs, including Toyota Motor Company.

As part of its global expansion strategy, LG Chem has secured a new customer in Japanese PPES, with plans to supply cathode materials to their factories by 2026.

LG Chem, a leader in cathode materials for electric vehicles, supplies cathode materials to many global OEM electric vehicle models.

In line with PPES’s low-carbon vision, LG Chem will focus on developing innovative materials and process technologies that produce high-performance batteries while minimizing environmental impact.
