Hyderabad — As Prabhas prepares for the release of the horror movie ‘The Raja Saab,’ the film’s production has ignited a debate about work-life balance in the entertainment industry. Producers revealed the crew routinely worked 16 to 18-hour days on this large-scale project.
Behind the Scenes of ’The Raja Saab’
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad said the film spanned two and a half years. the schedule, especially after ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ required director Maruthi to work from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. for over 120 days, Prasad said.
Prasad also noted the climax alone runs 40 minutes, packed with drama, and the movie involved roughly 300 days of VFX work and a massive indoor set.
Director Addresses Crew’s Shift Hours
Maruthi said the actors maintained eight-hour workdays, but those behind the camera frequently enough worked twice as long.”The actors work eight-hour shifts,” Maruthi said. “But the crew would work 18 hours a day… That is why we were able to shoot content of such quality.”
Maruthi acknowledged the dedication of his core team, including the director of photography and the production designer.
