Capcom’s new sci-fi action-adventure game Pragmata, built on the RE Engine, has been tested across multiple platforms with performance results showing significant differences between versions. According to Notebookcheck.fr, the frame rates for Pragmata on Switch 2 are lower than those on the PlayStation 5 version of the game.
Performance benchmarks from TechPowerUp and Tom’s Hardware indicate that Pragmata runs much better on PC than recent Unreal Engine 5 releases, maintaining strong graphical fidelity while supporting ray tracing and path tracing features. The game’s PC performance was evaluated across 18 to 30+ GPUs in separate reviews, highlighting its technical capabilities on modern hardware.
DSOGaming reported that Pragmata supports DLSS 4 and Path Tracing on PC, with specific requirements for enabling these features. To activate Path Tracing, players must use DLSS 4 and Ray Reconstruction, and Ray Reconstruction cannot be used simultaneously with standard Ray Tracing. Testing on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 showed that at Native 4K with DLAA, the path-traced version achieved a minimum of 29 FPS and an average of 31 FPS. With DLSS 4 Quality, frame rates increased to approximately 60 FPS, and combining DLSS 4 Quality with Frame Generation reached 100 FPS. Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) X3 and X4 settings further boosted performance to 150 FPS and 190 FPS respectively.
The game’s narrative follows Hugh, the sole survivor of a failed lunar rescue mission, and Diana, an android with hacking abilities, as they explore a 3D-printed lunar facility called the Cradle. Their mission involves combating an AI overseer and waves of additively manufactured robots while blending strategic gunplay with puzzle-solving under pressure.
Capcom confirmed that Pragmata will be released on April 17, 2026, with the PC version launching alongside console editions. The RE Engine-powered title aims to deliver a technically advanced experience that leverages current-generation GPU capabilities for enhanced visual effects and performance scaling through technologies like DLSS 4 and Frame Generation.
