Written by Ali Shibl:

Some areas of Cairo Governorate are witnessing light to moderate rain. The General Authority of Meteorology has also announced that the peak of weather fluctuations will be today, Monday, until tomorrow, Tuesday. Rain time is one of the times when it is recommended to pray. It is a time of grace, grace, and divine kindness, and a mercy from God upon His servants. This is also indicated by the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet.

With the rain and the time of thoughts of those who were fasting, times of goodness and the response to supplications came together. The fasting person’s thoughts are a supplication that cannot be rejected. It was reported on the authority of Sahl bin Saad, may God be pleased with him, attributed to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family: “There are two things that are not rejected: supplication at the time of the call, and in the rain.” That is: when he descends. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Hakim.

There are supplications for the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and many of the righteous people recommend that we pray at the time of rain, including:

“O God, grant us a beneficial rain, O God, grant us a happy rain. O God, do not kill us with your anger, and do not destroy us with your torment, and heal us before that. O God, I ask you for the good of it and the good of what is in it, and the good of what you were sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what you were sent.” with it”.

Oh God, You are God, there is no god but You, the Rich, and we are the poor. Send down upon us rain, and make what You have sent down for us strength and enlightenment for a while.

Oh God, I ask You for its good, the good of what is in it, and the good of what you were sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what you were sent with.

Glory be to Him whom the thunder praises and the angels glorify in His fear.

When the rain and fear are severe:

O God, around us and not against us, O God, on the hills and the valleys, the bottoms of the valleys, and the treetops.

After the rain:

We were blessed by God’s grace and mercy.

When the wind blows:

Oh God, I ask You for its good, the good of what is in it, and the good of what you were sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what you were sent with.

When you hear thunder:

If he hears thunder, he abandons the hadith and says: (Glory be to Him whom thunder glorifies with praise and the angels who fear Him.) Then he says: This is a severe threat to the people of the earth.

Among the abandoned Sunnahs is that it is recommended to be exposed to rain water, so that it falls on some part of your body and clothing, based on the hadith of Anas, may God be pleased with him, that he said: “We were struck by rain while we were with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.” He said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was saddened. His clothes, until something struck him It rained, so we said: O Messenger of God, why did you do this? He said: (Because it is a matter of a covenant with his Lord Almighty).” narrated by Muslim.

It was reported on the authority of the Messenger of God – may God bless him and grant him peace – that: (If he saw clouds approaching from one of the horizons, he would leave what he was in, even if he was in his prayer, in order to face them, and say: O God, we seek refuge in You from the evil of what was sent with it. If it rained, He said: O God, give us a beneficial rain twice or three times. If God removes it and it does not rain, thank God for that.) – Narrated by Al-Albani

Among the recommended supplications are:

O God, praise be to You, You are the light of the heavens and the earth and those in them, Praise be to You, You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and those in them, Praise be to You, You are the truth, Your promise is true, meeting You is true, Heaven is true, Hell is true, the prophets are true, the Hour is true, and Muhammad, peace be upon him, is true.

Oh God, O Revealer of every distress, O Answerer of every supplication, O Maker of every deed, O Reparer of every brokenness, O Freer of every captive, O Witness of every secret, O One who removes every affliction, O comforter of every lonely person, O Companion of every stranger, O Near but not far away. There is no god but You, Glory be to You. We ask You to make our affairs a relief and a way out. You are capable of all things.

O God, I extend my hand to You, and in Your presence my desire is great, so accept my repentance, have mercy on the weakness of my strength, forgive my sin, accept my apology, and make for me a share of all goodness, and a path to all goodness with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

Oh God, I ask you for bliss that never ends and the joy of an eye that never ceases, and I ask you for contentment after judgment, and I ask you for the coolness of life after death, and I ask you for the pleasure of looking at your honorable face and the longing to meet you without harm or temptation.

Misleading.

Oh God, we ask you, by your steadfastness, by your oneness, by your individuality, by your dazzling glory, and by your vast mercy, to make for us a light in our hearings, a light in our eyes, a light in our hearts, a light in our senses, a light in our souls, and a light from our hands.

O God, O giver of sustenance, O dispenser of good deeds, O abundant in giving, O remover of affliction, and O hearer of supplications, we ask you to protect our country from all harm and evil, O Lord of the Worlds.

O God, the bestower of blessings, the remover of vengeance, the reliever of sorrows, the remover of injustice, the most just of judgment, the calculator of injustice, the first without beginning, and the last without end, make for us a relief and a way out of our affairs.

Oh God, grant us a life that satisfies you in this world, grant us the most perfect work that will elevate us, and bestow upon us the most sincere repentance that You love, O Most Merciful, O Most Merciful, O God.

O God, bless and bless our master and master Muhammad, the master of the first and the last, the leader of the beautiful generations, the perfect master, the conqueror, the seal, the beloved, the intercessor, the compassionate, the truthful, the faithful, whose light precedes creation and whose manifestation is mercy to the worlds, the number of those who have passed from your creation and those who remain, and those who are happy among them and those who are miserable, A prayer that takes count and encompasses a limit, a prayer that has no goal or end, no duration or expiration, a permanent prayer with your continuity, remaining with your survival, and peace and blessings be upon his family and companions like that, and reward us, O our Lord, with your hidden kindness, in all our affairs.
