Though, Amorim was unable to stabilize the “Red Devils” in terms of sport; recently there was only one win and three draws from the last five league games. Since the beginning of November, United have won just three league games (six draws, three defeats).
But it’s not just sport that hasn’t been going well lately. There were also reports of increasing tensions between the 40-year-old and the club management. Amorim criticized interference from high-ranking United figures in his work, which he would not tolerate elsewhere. “I just want to say that I came here to be a manager, not a coach” he was quoted as saying after Sunday’s draw against Leeds.
