Presented book of aphorisms “Shots without warning”

ZVORNIK – The book of aphorisms “Shots without warning” by Jovo Nikolić from Ugljevik was presented tonight in the Youth Center in Zvornik.

Nikolić told Srna that the book contains 705 aphorisms that are mostly satirical in nature and arranged by topics that flow from one to the other.

“The book was written from 2012 to 2021, while there were several thousand aphorisms in the competition for publication, of which 1,500 were selected,” said Nikolić.

Nikolić wrote more than 12,000 aphorisms, many of which have not yet been published.

The author has so far published books of aphorisms: “Imitation of logic”, “Chain reaction” – published in five editions, “Open break”, “Flag of all colors”, “The spirit of matter” and “Shots without warning”.

He also wrote an anthology of BiH aphorisms “Brain mass protests”.

Speaking about this book, the aphorist Stanislav Tomić said that “Shots without warning” are a reflection of Nikolić’s personality and creativity and stated that this book is the result of a strict selection made by the author himself.

“The fact that the aphorisms in this book were created in the last ten or more years shows that they were carefully created,” said Tomić and emphasized that Nikolić “polishes” the aphorisms extremely well, which is particularly reflected in their quality.

Aphorist Milan Pantić said that Nikolić proved with his creativity that he is one of the most important aphorists in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We are extremely honored that his book was published in Zvornik and that it is being promoted by aphorists who are important and trending in the aphoristic sky of the Balkans,” Pantić said.

The book “Shots without warning” was published by the Zvornik publishing house “As oglas”, whose director Dejan Spasojević said that, apart from football, humor is perhaps the most important thing in the world, although the seriousness of life and time often leaves us without laughter.

“We have to look for motives that will lighten us up and cheer us up, and that is Nikolić’s “Shots without warning”,” said Spasojević.
