President Moon Jae-in presided over a supply chain meeting attended by Australian businessmen related to key minerals.

Australia, which is rich in core mineral deposits amid a trend of carbon neutrality, is emerging as a key global supply chain.

He also emphasized that if Korea and Australia, which have competitiveness in rechargeable batteries, electric vehicles, and semiconductors, cooperate, they will contribute to the stability of the entire global supply chain.

It is explained that if the supply chain is stabilized through cooperation between Korea and Australia in the global carbon neutrality trend, it will play a big role in accelerating the realization of carbon neutrality.

“If the two countries work together with trust and trust, it will greatly contribute to the advancement of global supply chain stability and carbon neutrality.

To this end, the two governments promised to support the efforts of entrepreneurs by cooperating throughout the entire resource development cycle, from exploration of key minerals to mining disaster management, and seeking specific cooperative measures.

After the meeting, President Moon instructed Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Moon Seung-wook to come up with a mechanism to cooperate with the governments of the two countries, businesses, research institutes, universities and financial institutions in key mineral supply chains.
