Controversy has arisen over reports that President Moon Jae-in’s daughter Da-hye is living in the Blue House residence. He criticized the power of the people as “a chance for parents,” and demanded an explanation from the Blue House, but the Blue House refuted, saying, “There are no inappropriate matters.”

Dahye stayed in Thailand under the Moon Jae-in administration. The Munhwa Ilbo reported on the 8th that he returned to Korea at the end of last year and has been living in the Blue House with his children for nearly a year. People’s Power criticized, “It’s a father’s chance for the Dahye family to live in the Blue House, which is run by taxes.”

The Blue House said it would avoid a response, saying it is a “family private life” that has nothing to do with President Moon’s public duties. The Blue House judges that there are no legal problems in that the Blue House is a space for the president and his family to live.

The passport also said that “Dahye’s family frequently stops by the Blue House is a false rumor that they live there”, but the Blue House said, “The president and his family cannot be confirmed according to the ‘Act on the Security of the President, etc.’ No,” he said quietly.

In 2018, Dahye sold a villa in Gugi-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul under her husband’s name and moved to Thailand. The following year, he bought a multi-family house in Yangpyeong-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul for about 760 million won, and it is known that he sold it for about 900 million won in February of this year. This is the part where the opposition party drove Dahye’s residence in the Blue House as ‘Gwansa Tech’.

Heo Eun-ah, senior spokesperson for the People’s Power, asked, “How should we explain the fact that the president’s family, not a minor, lives together in the Blue House, which is operated by the national tax for the president’s duties, residence, and reception of foreign guests?”

On the other hand, Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Gun-young, who is called President Moon’s ‘double heart’, told social networking service (SNS), “Since when did it become a chance for parents and children to live together?” retorted.
