Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is said to have survived at least three assassinations last week. It is said to have been carried out by Russian-backed Wagner mercenaries and Chechen special forces.

The Times reported on the 3rd (local time) that Russian-backed Wagner Group and Chechen special forces attempted to assassinate President Zelensky, but the operation failed due to information leaked from inside the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). .

Ukrainian security officials said Chechen special forces attempted an assassination outside the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, but they were removed before they reached President Zelensky. The Wagner group’s assassination attempt was also reported to have failed.

Their assassination attempts were thwarted by information from Russian spies. Olegsi Danilov, secretary-general of the Ukrainian Defense and Security Council, said the assassination plans were informed by agents of the Federal Security Service, which oppose the Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, there are still about 400 mercenaries in Kiiwu, so it is likely that they will attempt an assassination soon.
