Princess Charlene Wears Dior Suit and Elie Saab Gown
For the arrival ceremony, Princess Charlene wore a white pantsuit featuring distinctive prominent stitching on the buttons and the iconic lines of a Dior bar jacket, modekoninginmaxima.nl reported. The fashion design traces its origins back to 1947, when French designer Christian Dior introduced his New Look following World War II. The silhouette is recognized by its soft shoulders, open collar, slim waist, and volume at the hips.
Later for the state banquet, Charlene selected an asymmetrical dress by Lebanese designer Elie Saab, modekoninginmaxima.nl reported. The garment consists of a skin-colored base layered with lace and embroidery that fades in a gradient pattern along the skirt. Beads and sequins decorate the design in block formations following the asymmetrical neckline.
