Private gathering of 10 people, 12 pm strong… Will this be the last social distancing policy?

It is known that the government will announce a plan to adjust social distancing by increasing the maximum number of private gatherings to 10 people from next week and limiting the business hours of restaurants and cafes to 12 p.m.

According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 31st, the government will increase the number of private gatherings by two people for two weeks from the 4th to a maximum of 10 people. I decided to extend the time. The government will finally confirm and announce the new social distancing plan at the main headquarters meeting on the morning of the 1st. Multi-use facilities, whose business hours are extended until 12 pm, include restaurants/cafes, singing practice areas, baths, indoor sports facilities, entertainment facilities, lifelong vocational training institutes, PC rooms, arcade/multi-rooms, casinos, party rooms, massage/massage rooms. , movie theaters, concert halls, etc.

Currently, the Omicron pandemic is showing a moderate decline, but it is believed that the 24-hour business permit has been postponed due to the judgment that if the quarantine system is temporarily lifted, there is a concern that the epidemic will be amplified. It was also considered that if the epidemic returns to an increasing trend, there is a possibility that the number of severely ill patients will surge beyond the medical system management capabilities.

As of the previous day, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 328,743, bringing the total to 13,095631. The cumulative number of confirmed cases surpassed 13 million in 801 days after the outbreak of COVID-19 in Korea, and the rate of confirmed cases compared to the population reached 25.5%.

It is known that the government’s Daily Restoration Support Committee shared a policy that this distance regulation would be the last in effect. Social distancing began on May 3, 2020 and has been going on for nearly two years. Prime Minister Bu-gyeom Kim said at the Daily Recovery Support Committee held on the same day, “Considering the low fatality rate with Omicron and the availability of vaccines and therapeutic drugs, it is necessary to maintain daily life as much as possible and change to a routine medical system.”
