| Protesters in Galle Mangalam

Galle: The Test match progressed in Galle yesterday in an insecure situation where the agitators rioted against the government and occupied the President’s palace. Spectators were not allowed into the stadium as a precaution. However, the protestors arrived, including in front of the stadium on the beach.

Thousands of people gathered in Galle raising slogans against the Rajapakse family waving the Lankan flag. Protesters protested by climbing atop the Gall Fort, but no one dared to disrupt the game.

Former cricketers like Arjuna Ranathanga, Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara and others came to the social media in support of the protesters.
