Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Hideaki Nishino recently addressed PlayStation’s hardware strategy, stating that “the future of the platform is top of mind.” While Nishino didn’t reveal specific details about the PlayStation 6, he said the company is exploring “a new and enhanced way for players to engage” with PlayStation content and services. Documents from 2022 suggest Sony’s next console is not expected before fall 2028.
