On April 10, the 1/4 finals of the Champions League will take place at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris, in which Paris Saint-Germain will host the Catalan Barcelona.
At the previous stage of the tournament, the French club beat the Spanish Real Sociedad twice (2:0 and 2:1), while Barca dealt with the reigning Italian champion Napoli – 1:1 and 3:1.
The teams also played national championship matches before continuing the fight in the Champions League. PSG hosted Clermont at home and lost points – 1:1. At the same time, the Parisians are comfortably in the lead in Ligue 1.
Barcelona hosted Las Palmas on March 30 and barely won with a score of 1:0. Xavi’s team continues to fight for second place in La Liga with Girona.
The teams met last time at the stage of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League of the 2020/21 season. Then PSG defeated the Catalans away with a score of 4:1, and a draw was recorded in Paris – 1:1.
Englishman Anthony Taylor has been appointed as the chief referee for the upcoming match.
