PTI Gets Green Light: Lahore Rally Permission Sparks New Hope for Imran Khan’s Movement
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Secures Permission for Rally in Jalo Park
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has obtained permission from the district administration to hold a rally in Jalo Park, following a court order.
The Deputy Commissioner’s Office granted a license to PTI to hold the rally, which will now take place at Jalo Park instead of Pakistan Minar. The rally has been scheduled to occur between 2 pm and 5 pm.
Meanwhile, a group of Punjab Assembly members, led by Opposition Leader Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, visited the Pakistan Minar assembly hall, only to find the door locked due to heavy police presence. The police did not allow PTI leaders to enter the premises.
In response to the PTI meeting in Lahore, the district administration took measures to restrict access to Minar Pakistan. All gates were locked, and containers were placed on roads leading to Minar Pakistan. Heavy personnel were also deployed in the area.
Preparations for the PTI rally in Lahore have reached their final stages. A convoy led by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will depart from Swabi tomorrow morning. The PTI leadership has instructed Haramidwar to bring 500 employees.
The convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be led by the Prime Minister, and authorities have decided to bring machinery to remove obstacles. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Seif stated that preparations have been completed for the Lahore rally, and a large crowd is expected to gather.
The Lahore High Court disposed of a petition, ordering the district administration to make a decision regarding the Tehreek-e-Insaf meeting by 5 pm. The court issued a written decision, stating that the Deputy Commissioner Lahore should decide on the application according to law.
The court ruled that the request to stop the meeting was unacceptable and therefore decided in favor of PTI.
