Lahore — The⁢ Punjab government is set to unveil its Annual Development Program (ADP) for the fiscal year 2025-26, projecting an ⁢outlay of approximately Rs1.2 trillion. This marks a ‍significant increase from the current year’s Rs842 billion. The budget, with a total expenditure of around Rs6 trillion, is scheduled for presentation to the Punjab Assembly on Monday, June 16.

Senior Minister Marriyum aurangzeb has already reviewed ⁣the proposed allocations for the ADP. Chief minister Maryam Nawaz is expected to ‍finalize the development programme after a review. Officials suggest⁤ that the government is ⁣considering allocating about Rs75 billion to the education sector, with Rs50 billion specifically for school education. The Punjab budget’s development role is further highlighted by proposed investments in health and infrastructure.
