At 10.30am on May 9, the Environmental Quality Monitoring and Control Center or EMCC, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong, was notified of a fire in a pyrolysis petrol (gasoline) storage tank at Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Company Limited. I-8 Road, Map Ta Phut Boat Road, Map Ta Phut Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province, then informed the IEAT of Map Ta Phut and informed the Map Ta Phut Police Station to travel to to investigate.
