French singer Patrick Bruel is facing new allegations of sexual violence, with 15 women coming forward to accuse him of misconduct. The reports, detailed by Mediapart and RTL Info on May 8, 2026, indicate that several of these women claim to have been subjected to non-consensual sexual relations.

According to the reports, seven of the 15 women have specifically alleged that they experienced non-consensual sexual acts. Among these victims, one woman stated that she was a minor at the time the events occurred.

Details of the Allegations

One of the most prominent accounts involves the director of Unifrance, who has confirmed her accusations to police investigators. As reported by ladepeche.fr and Le Parisien, the director described a harrowing encounter in which she was pushed by force into a car to be assaulted.

Further testimonies highlighted by L’Humanité include a woman who recounted a specific moment following an assault, stating, I open my eyes, he is putting my pants back on.

These new claims are being integrated into different legal channels. Five of the testimonies have been transmitted to the justice system as part of a current ongoing procedure. Two other accounts were previously submitted during a separate investigation that was closed without further action in 2020.

The current wave of accusations adds to a growing history of claims against the singer. Prior to these 15 new reports, 19 other women had already testified against Patrick Bruel regarding similar presumed acts of sexual violence.

Defense and Legal Response

Patrick Bruel has firmly rejected the allegations, denying any instance of coercion or violence.

His legal team, consisting of Maîtres Vincent Brengarth Ingrain and Rémi Lasek, has challenged the validity of the testimonies. In statements provided to Mediapart, the lawyers described the accounts as sometimes contradictory or incoherent.

The defense argued that the narratives provided by the accusers would not hold up under a true effort to establish the reality of the events.

While acknowledging that the singer may have often sought to seduce and may have sometimes faced refusals, the legal representatives asserted that Bruel never went beyond a woman’s refusal when she said no.
