Rachin Ravindra’s Double Century Lifts New Zealand to Victory Against South Africa

Hamilton: Rachin Ravindra, who scored a double century for the Kiwis in the first innings, was named man of the match as New Zealand won by 281 runs in the first cricket test against South Africa. Rachin Ravindra’s innings lifted New Zealand, who were down at 39-2, through a 232-run partnership with Williamson.

Williamson scored a century in both Test innings, but Rachin, who scored a century in the first innings, was chosen as the man of the match. After receiving the man of the match award, Rachin replied with a smile that he would never share the award with Kane Williamson.

While New Zealand scored 511 runs in the first innings, Rachin, who came fourth, scored 240 runs. Williamson scored 118 runs. Rachin Ravindra was out for 12 runs in the second innings as the Kiwis declared on 179-4. On the other hand, Williamson scored 109 runs off 132 balls in ODI style.

New Zealand won the first cricket test against South Africa by 281 runs today. Chasing a target of 529 runs on the fourth day, South Africa came into bat and were bowled out for 247 runs. David Bedingham, who scored 87 runs, was the only one who struggled for South Africa in the second innings. Kyle Jamieson took four wickets and Mitchell Santner took three wickets for the Kiwis.
