Rain with Strong Winds and Thunder Predicted in Pakistan

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain ⁣with strong winds and⁢ thunder in different parts ‍of ⁢the country from September ​26.

According to⁤ the ⁤Meteorological Department, there is a possibility⁢ of rain in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir ⁢between September 26 ⁢and October 1.

In Sindh, there⁢ may be rain ‍in Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Umarkot, ‍and​ nearby areas from Thursday ⁤to Saturday, apart from this, the weather ⁤will remain hot and dry in the rest of Sindh.

The ⁢weather in Karachi ⁣is likely to remain hot ‌and ⁢humid⁤ during the next 24 hours, with a minimum ‍temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius and a current temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Karachi is likely to go up to‌ 33-35 degrees ‌Celsius.

According ⁤to the Meteorological Department,​ the humidity‍ in the air is 81%, and​ the ‌wind is blowing from the west at‌ a speed of 11 kmph.

On the other hand, the‌ weather is ⁢likely to remain hot and dry in most areas of Balochistan.

The highest​ temperature was recorded in different‌ areas of Balochistan, including Quetta ‌at ⁤39, Kalat at 31, Zhob at 38, Ziarat at 25, Sibi at 43, ‌Turbat at 42, Nokundi at 45, Chaman‌ at 36, ⁣Gwadar at 36, and Jeoni ‌at ‌34.

NDMA Warning ‍Issued for Rains Across the Country

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has⁤ issued a warning regarding‌ rains across the country.

The National Disaster ⁢Management Authority has said⁢ that‌ heavy winds and thundershowers may occur in several‍ areas ⁣of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,‌ Gilgit-Baltistan,​ and Azad‌ Kashmir, while intermittent rain is expected in some areas of‍ Sindh between September ‌26 and September 28.

Heavy rain ⁣is ​also expected to cause landslides in hilly areas‍ of‍ Murree, Galiat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Chitral, ‌Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, which may⁣ damage or block connecting ​roads.

All departments involved were instructed to keep emergency‌ response teams alert, ensure a prompt response to any potential emergency, use resources, and ensure that necessary machinery is available in areas where there is a risk.

NDMA directed the concerned departments to ​take steps ​to ensure timely awareness of ‌weather forecasts, advisories, and warnings ‌to the local administration and the public and to ​take preventive measures and necessary measures in areas where landslides​ are likely to ensure that machines are on ⁢standby to deal with a possible roadblock in communication ​in time.
