Understanding Baekro: The⁣ Third Solar Term of Autumn

Baekro, the third solar term of autumn, signifies the formation of white dew on grass leaves and objects. This phenomenon marks the beginning of fall, but the ⁤weather still feels like summer.

The Tibetan high pressure system, located to the west of our country, blocks cold air from the north, causing the ‌heat to persist. As a result, temperatures‌ will remain above average for the time being.

During the ⁢day, when sunlight is strong, the perceived temperature will rise to 31 to⁤ 33 degrees Celsius, making it feel hot. However, cloudy skies are expected​ over the weekend, ‌with showers predicted in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

Rain showers of 5 to 40⁢ mm are expected to fall from Saturday morning‍ to night,‍ with some‌ areas experiencing heavy rain of up to⁣ 20mm ‍per hour, accompanied by thunder ⁣and lightning. On Sunday, showers of⁤ 5 to 20 mm are expected between morning and evening.

Although the amount of rain is small, the temperature is not expected to drop easily. Our region will be on the edge of a high-pressure ⁣front moving south from northern ‍China until the​ day after tomorrow.
