Jaipur: IPL team Rajasthan Royals have dropped top batsman Devdutt Patikal. Patikal was sold to Lucknow Supergiants and replaced by fast bowler Athush Khan.

Patikal has scored 637 runs in 28 matches in two seasons. Average 23.59 runs, strike rate 125.88. However, Patikal is a batsman who has scored 2768 runs at an average of 33.34 including three centuries and 17 fifties in 92 matches in his IPL career.
This is the third franchise for Josht Khan who started his IPL career with Delhi Capitals in 2021. In 2021, he was second among the wicket takers in the tournament with 24 victims. He became the highest wicket taker for Super Giants in 2022. However, in 2023, Athush struggled on slower pitches and did not even complete the four over quota in five of the nine matches he played. He conceded an average of 9.75 runs an over and took eight wickets.
Currently, Atush is a member of India’s Twenty20 team facing Australia. Rajasthan Royals team includes Pyath Krishna, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Sen, Sandees Sharma, KM In the pace bowling battery which includes Asif and others, the team management is looking at Pahithu as its new ball partner.
