Even a month after its release, the film “Jailer” continues to captivate audiences in theaters, amassing an impressive box office collection of Rs 328 crores in India alone. Internationally, the Nelson-Rajinikanth collaboration has exceeded expectations, surpassing the 600-crore mark.
With this film, Rajinikanth has solidified his status as the most sought-after and costliest actor in India. Already a recipient of more than 100 crores for his previous projects, Rajinikanth has surpassed all records, earning over 200 crores from “Jailer” alone.
The film’s success has translated into a lucrative deal for Rajinikanth, who received a staggering 110 crores as remuneration for his role in “Jailer.” Additionally, reports suggest that he earned another hundred crores as a share in the film’s profits.
With this substantial earning, Rajinikanth now commands a fee of Rs 210 crores for a single film, making it the highest remuneration ever received by an actor in India. Director Nelson also reaped the benefits through a share in the film’s profitability.
Apart from the financial gains, Rajinikanth was also bestowed with a luxurious BMW X7 car by Sun Pictures chief Kalanidhi Maran, further augmenting his already opulent lifestyle. The car was presented to Rajinikanth at his residence in Poes Garden, Chennai.
