Hong Kong Open Offers Free Admission to Spectators on National Day
The Hong Kong Tennis Association of China has announced that the newly launched Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) 125-level competition will be held from September 30 to October 6. Notably, the second competition day coincides with National Day on October 1, and all competitions will be free to the audience.
The WTA125 tournament and the original Hong Kong Open WTA250 tournament will take place at the Victoria Park tennis court in the city center. Chinese players Wang Qiang and Zhang Shuai have confirmed their participation in the WTA125 tournament. The WTA250 tournament will be held from October 26 to November 3, featuring famous players such as Wang Xinyu, who won the mixed doubles runner-up at the Paris Olympics, and former US Open women’s singles champion Raducan.
Tickets for the two events will go on sale from September 12. The WTA 250 qualifying matches on October 26 and 27 will be free of charge. On October 28, the first day of the main competition, the traditional “Everyone Participates Monday” will be held, and spectators can also enter for free on this day.
