Police are investigating the death of an Inha University freshman who fell and died after being raped.

It is known that the police, who arrested the male student and continue the investigation, believe that the female student was left unattended for about an hour and a half after the fall.

On the day of the incident, the perpetrator and victim entered the building around 1:30 in the morning.

The victim, who fell, was only found at 3:49, and his breathing and pulse were weak.

The police, who analyzed CCTV around the building, believe that the student who died was left alive for about an hour and a half.

Considering the height of the ‘3rd floor’ and the fact that there was breathing at the time of discovery even after being left unattended for a long time, it is predicted that they would have survived even if they reported it in time.

The police plan to change the charge to ‘quasi-sexual assault and murder’ if it is confirmed that the assailant’s male student intentionally pushed him down.

We are also analyzing the cell phone of the assailant obtained at the scene and investigating whether there is a video filmed at the time of the crime.

Until yesterday, the memorial space that had been prepared at the scene of the incident was demolished at the request of the bereaved family.

Inha University said that it will review the expulsion of the offender, strengthen school building access restrictions, and take strong measures against secondary bullying, especially against victims.
