Government Waives Salaries and Tuition Fees for Injured Students

In a significant move, the government has announced that it will waive the salaries and tuition fees of all public and private schools, colleges, madrasas, technical and university students who were injured in the recent insurgency.

According to a notification issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on October 29, the government has decided to provide relief to injured students by waiving their salaries and tuition fees. To avail this benefit, injured students will need to apply to the head of their educational institution, providing a medical certificate as proof of their injury.

The authorities of the educational institutions will verify the requests and take immediate action to waive the students’ salaries and tuition fees. This decision will be effective in all educational institutions across the country, covering the entire education life of the injured student, from the current period to university.

The notification emphasizes that all educational institutions involved will take necessary measures to implement this decision promptly, ensuring that injured students receive the support they need to continue their education without financial burden.
