A major cross-border law enforcement operation targeting online child sexual exploitation has resulted in the arrest of 326 individuals across seven Asian jurisdictions, including 11 men in Singapore, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Regional Crackdown Details
The coordinated effort, conducted between March 23 and April 17, 2026, involved police forces from Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Thailand. Officers raided 382 locations during the operation, according to a news release from the Singapore Police Force (SPF).

Of those arrested, 430 individuals—comprising 430 men and 15 women—are either in custody or assisting with investigations. The ages of those involved range from 12 to 72 years old, the SPF stated.
Singapore Arrests and Allegations
In Singapore, police arrested 11 men, aged between 22 and 44, while another 16 individuals are assisting with ongoing investigations. The suspects face allegations including the production, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse materials, as well as sexually communicating with minors and transmitting obscene materials.
Preliminary investigations revealed that eight of the Singaporean suspects had accessed, downloaded, and possessed child sexual abuse materials through online messaging platforms and peer-to-peer services. Two other men, aged 26 and 28, are alleged to have made cross-border payments to a Malaysia-based individual to access such materials via Telegram, according to the SPF.
Broader Regional Impact
The operation reflects a growing regional effort to combat online child exploitation. In Japan, 99 individuals were accused in connection with the same crackdown, while Hong Kong police arrested nine men as part of the joint initiative, according to verified reports from nippon.com and the South China Morning Post.
The SPF emphasized that the operation targeted not only the distribution of illegal materials but also financial transactions linked to such activities. Authorities continue to investigate the networks involved in these crimes.
Ongoing Investigations
While the four-week operation has concluded, investigations remain active across the participating jurisdictions. The SPF stated that further arrests or charges may follow as authorities analyze seized evidence and trace additional suspects.
The crackdown underscores the transnational nature of online child exploitation, with law enforcement agencies increasingly collaborating to dismantle these networks. The SPF has not yet released further details on potential international linkages or the identities of those arrested.
