Chulalongkorn Hospital Offers Free HPV Vaccination for Children
The esteemed Chulalongkorn Hospital, operated by the Thai Red Cross Society, is pleased to announce the availability of free HPV 4-strain vaccination for children between the ages of 9 and 15. This initiative aims to safeguard the health of young boys and girls by protecting them against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).
What is Human Papilloma Virus?
The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is a prevalent type of virus that can lead to various infections. Notably, HPV is a leading cause of cervical cancer in women and can also result in genital warts and rectal cancer in men.
Vaccination Service Terms
To avail of the vaccination services, children of Thai nationality aged 9-15 (born between September 3, 2008, and July 16, 2014) are eligible. Those who have never received any HPV vaccine before will be administered two doses of the vaccine, with the second dose to be given six months after the first. For individuals who have previously received the HPV 4-strain vaccine, an additional dose will be administered at least six months after the last vaccination date. It is important to note that walk-in service is not available, and appointments must be made in advance.

Note: Prior registration is required for individuals who have never received services at Chulalongkorn Hospital before. New patients must complete the pre-registration process in the Chula Care application before registering for the vaccination.
