For years, reMarkable has been synonymous with the gold standard in digital note-taking. Their flagship Paper Pro tablet, celebrated for its remarkably realistic pen-on-paper feel, has won over countless professionals and creatives. But let’s face it: that expansive 12-inch screen, while fantastic for deep work, isn’t always the most practical for on-the-go use.
Enter the reMarkable Paper Pro Move, unveiled just this month on September 3rd. This isn’t just a smaller version; it’s a reimagining of the digital notebook for a more mobile world. Imagine the beloved Paper Pro, shrunk down to a pocketable 7-inch form factor, ready to capture your thoughts, sketches, and to-do lists wherever inspiration strikes.
Priced starting at $449, the Paper Pro Move offers an accessible entry point into the reMarkable ecosystem, undercutting its larger sibling by $130. This makes it an ideal choice for those curious about digital note-taking but hesitant to commit to a larger investment.
Pocket-Sized Powerhouse
The Paper Pro Move is a marvel of engineering. Measuring a mere 7.7″ x 4.26″ x 0.26″ and weighing in at just over 8 ounces, it’s strikingly similar in size to the latest Apple iPad Mini. The sleek aluminum chassis houses a vibrant 7.3″ Canvas Color display, utilizing E-Ink Gallery 3 technology with a crisp 1696×954 resolution (264ppi).This ensures text is sharp and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. Plus, adjustable front-lit illumination allows for comfortable reading in dim environments.
But the real magic lies in the writing experience. The Paper Pro Move retains reMarkable’s signature pen-on-paper feel, thanks to its textured glass display and pressure-sensitive Model Marker stylus. Choose from nine different writing tools – ballpoint pens, markers, highlighters – and experience the joy of writing without the waste of paper. The Model Marker Plus even adds an eraser for added convenience. And with a single tap, your handwritten notes are instantly converted into typed text.
