William Thomas Miller, known as Tom, passed away at home on November 14, 2024.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at St. Luke Church, located at 1104 Second Ave, Columbus, GA 31901. The family will hold a visitation on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home. Lunch will be provided at St. Luke after the service. A private graveside service will occur at Emanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Cataula, GA, arranged by McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory at 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907.
Tom was born on January 29, 1944, in Columbus, GA, to William Thomas Miller, Sr. and Kathleen Taylor Doscher. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant at AJK, LLC in Columbus, GA. Tom was a devoted husband and father. His love for Christ shone through in his actions and interactions. He was known for encouraging others and was a true friend. Tom enjoyed tennis, reading, and beach vacations, often expressing that the ocean could not compare to the Father’s love for us. He shared a joyful marriage with his wife of 14 years, filled with kindness and love. His laughter and character will be missed but remembered fondly.
Tom is survived by his wife, Allison Miller of Midland, GA. He leaves behind daughters Laura Miller Funke (Keith) of St. Louis, MO, and Heather Miller Amador (Ivan) of Boise, ID; sons William Thomas Miller III (Marjorie) of Atlanta, GA, William Tyler Ammons, and Avery Kyle Ammons of Columbus, GA; brother Benjamin Miller (Cindy) of Columbus, GA; and sister Martha Miller Heitman of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
