The Indiana Chamber has detailed a suite of compensation and business research resources available to its members to help Hoosier businesses maintain competitiveness and regulatory compliance.

These tools are designed to assist employers of various sizes in tracking compensation trends and attracting talent within the state of Indiana and beyond.

Compensation Data and Salary Benchmarking

As part of its membership offerings, the Indiana Chamber provides access to data from Salary.com, a service that has provided comparative data for organizations for nearly 20 years.

Members are eligible to receive up to three free job reports. Additional reports are available to members at a substantial discount.

members receive a 20% discount on the Compdata Benchmark survey, which is described as an industry-leading tool for salary analysis.

Business Research Center Services

The Indiana Chamber operates a Business Research Center where its research team provides members with various data points and business information.

The center provides up to 1,000 sales leads per year. These leads can be customized based on several criteria, including:

  • SIC code and industry
  • Location and ZIP code
  • Employee size
  • Volume in sales
  • Customized leads for all states and countries

Beyond sales leads, the research team provides statistics on population and complete economic and census demographic surveys. They also identify major employers by city, region, state, and ZIP code, and can answer business questions regarding compensation.

Regulatory Training and Compliance

To assist businesses in evaluating their compensation plans, the Indiana Chamber is promoting the 2026 Indiana Wage and Hour Law Seminar.

Members receive a $100 discount on registration for the seminar. Companies that send two or more employees can receive an additional 20% discount by using the code GROUP20.

Indiana Chamber Organizational Context

The Indiana Chamber is the largest broad-based business advocacy group in the state. While it was officially formed in 1922, its activities date back to 1897.

The organization represents businesses of all types and sizes, partnering with 25,000 members and investors across all 92 Indiana counties. This membership reflects the state’s industry makeup, with approximately 33% in professional services and 22% in manufacturing.

A significant portion of the membership consists of small businesses, with more than 70% of member companies employing fewer than 100 people.
