He made this call in a statement on Sunday night.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi strongly condemned and protested the fact that Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP member secretary Rafiqul Alam Majnu was picked up from his residence by the intelligence police at around 11:30 pm on Sunday.

In a statement today, the senior joint secretary general of BNP said, “The whereabouts of where he was taken is not yet known. This incident is an extreme attack on democratic rights. The government has been isolated from all sides at home and abroad and is now dying. A brutal attack on democratic power is being waged through an orchestrated police administration. Majnu’s arrest is part of a well-planned conspiracy by the government. By bankrupting the country, it has now resorted to cruel methods to take away the language of people’s protest.

This leader of BNP said, seeing the possibility of the fall of the government, the knowledge of direction has become zero. Therefore, nationwide disappearance cases and arrests have started. I strongly condemn the arrest of Rafiqul Alam Majnu and call upon the detective police to return him to his family with the whereabouts of Rafiqul Alam Majnu.
