Jeddah: The revised Kovid protocol also applies to Umrah pilgrims. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has revised the entry procedure for Umrah pilgrims after the Home Ministry announced the admission process for those arriving from other countries.

The revised terms will take effect on Wednesday from 1 p.m. Pilgrims must undergo a RTPCR or antigen test 48 hours before departure and produce a Certificate of Acceptance with a negative result. Mandatory for all except children under the age of eight. Vaccination status is not considered. The ministry said the decision was taken to protect the health and safety of the pilgrims.

Following the announcement of the Ministry of Interior, the General Authority of Civil Aviation also sent a circular to the airlines containing the procedure for entering Saudi Arabia.
