Unlike the HEIC format introduced by Apple a few years ago, JPEG-XL supports both lossy and lossless compression, making it a preferred choice among professionals who require high-quality images without degradation.

The official release date for iOS 18 is set for September 16th. The iPhone 16 series, scheduled for release on September 20th, is expected to come with iOS 18 pre-installed.
